Scope and Contents
This accession consists of a photocopy of Eddie Rickenbacker's speech, We Prayed, concerning his mission to the South Pacific in 1942. Rickenbacker and his B-17 crew were forced to land in the Pacific in 1942, and spent twenty-one days at sea. After the rescue and some rest, Rickenbacker continued his tour of duty, observing fighting in New Guinea and the Solomons.
