Scope and Contents
This accession contains documents and audio recordings that were used by Marianne M. Moates Weber as a reference to write and edit her book, A Bridge of Childhood: Truman Capote’s Southern Years (1996). The audio was recorded by Capote’s cousin, Jennings Faulk Carter (1928-2012), especially for Moates’s writing project and details Carter’s memories of Capote and their family as well as interactions with their mutual friend, Nelle Harper Lee.
