Scope and Contents
Ink manuscript. Approximately 600 words. Typical rules for an organization of this kind, establishing protocol for exercises and meetings, dues, fines, manner of voting, etc. "The object shall be to relieve the sick, bury the dead, to aid each other in the time of distress, and to cultivate a fruitful feeling among the race for the best interest and the welfare of all mankind." Accompanied by another 14 pages of manuscript, mostly in pencil, representing partial minutes from meetings in March, April, and May of 1910, and further partial attempts at constitution and by-laws writing. In the minutes "Chairman J. H. Giddings" and "Rev. W. H. Harrison" are mentioned.
