This accession contains historical and genealogical material collected by the descendants of Charles Coleman Thach.

Included are wills from the Thach lineage, personal family letters and letters regarding genealogy, death notices and obituaries, newspaper clippings, Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) membership applications, a calling card printing plate, lineage charts, census records, two books on Auburn history, receipts for sale of cemetery plots, certificates, and 118 photographs (prints and negatives) of family members, graves, and buildings.

Notable family members represented in this collection are Eliza "Lila" Lockhart Coleman Thach (1836-1918), Ellen Stanford Smith Thach (1867-1954), and Otis David Smith (1831-1905), Nathaniel Cortlandt Curtis, Jr. (1917-1997).
