This series includes letters written by Dorsey family members before World War II and letters written to Isham J. Dorsey III while he was enlisted during World War II. Correspondents include his parents, brothers, cousins, other enlisted men, and girlfriends in America and England. Some correspondence after the war includes letters written by parents of men enlisted with Dorsey, letters from girlfriends and colleagues reflecting on the war, and a letter expressing sympathy of Dorsey's death.
