Business and personal correspondence have been combined. Business correspodence deals with matters concerning government positions as Clerk of Circuit Court, Registery in Chancery, and insurance agent for Geneva County, Alabama. Items of official correspondence with State and National Land Offices and other Departments such as Treasury and Commerce, and War and items concerning local, State, and National Democratic Party politics are included.
Personal correspondence includes letter among family members of John William Draughon, church associates, Masonic, Shrine, and Knights of Fytnias brothers, and other civic and community leaders. Also included are 167 postcards, numerous telegrams and miscellaneous cards, invitations and programs.
