Scope and Contents

This accession consists of discontinued ACES publications with correspondence and a list of said publications; thirteen audio cassettes; twenty-seven film strips; two vinyl records that correlate with two of the filmstrips; slides; pamphlets; fliers; booklets; teacher's manuals; guides; handbooks; a Polaroid 360 Land Camera with a Polaroid printer copier; a 1940s A. B. Dick Company mimeoscope; flash cubes; a small nutrition desk calendar; a hand fan; an ACES pillowcase and tote bag; a Print Media book; and a 1940s Turner crystal microphone.

Physical Characteristics and Technical Requirements

This accession is in good condition. However, some documents and artifacts have rust damage and most of the filmstrips have vinegar syndrome.

Immediate Source of Acquisition

This accession was donated by the Chilton County branch of the Alabama Cooperative Extension Services.

Separated Materials

The two film reels, slide projector, and film projector were separated for use by Special Collections and Archives staff members. However, they have artifact tags on them connecting them to this collection. They are presently, as of April 28, 2023, stored with other film projectors and reels.

The reels are: One generic 16mm grey reel with no identifying markings and one Eastman Kodak Company 16mm 150ft reel with markings "Spec MIL-R-214C" made in Rochester, New York.

One slide projector: Signet Projectors, Kodaslide 500 Model 1 produced by the Eastman Kodak Company in 1954 with the carrying case and two lamps.

One film projector: Singer Instaload 16 film projector for 16mm films produced in ca. 1975.
