This accession includes subject and correspondence files which date from 1947 to 1966. The subject files are arranged alphabetically and include administrative materials concerning the internal structure of the physics department, including information related to the curriculum and faculty. Also included are materials concerning external organizations, agencies, and conferences. A major portion of the collection consists of correspondence files which are arranged chronologically and thereunder alphabetically by surname of recipient or sender.
