Scope and Contents

This accession contains clippings, correspondence, scrapbooks, photographs, broadsides and pamphlets. the majority of the material concerns William Bismarck Bowling and his interest in Alabama politics. The two main topics that the materials cover are the prohibition campaign in Alabama in 1909 and the ratification of the 1901 State Constitution. Bowling, an active Southern Baptist, was in favor of both prohibition and the 1901 constitution.
