Biographical / Historical

The Alabama Academy of Science (AAS) was organized in Mobile in 1924 to promote the interest of science. It is affiliated with the American Association for the Advancement of Science. The Academy's activities include meetings, research, and publications. Affiliated with the AAS is the Alabama Junior Academy of Science.
