Biographical / Historical

The Rotary Club of Auburn, Alabama is a non-profit, civic organizaiton. Auburn Rotary is part of Rotary International, which has more that 29,000 Rotary clubs in 161 countries. The Auburn chapters was founded in 1921. The official designation is Club 4065 in Rotary District 6880.

The club is under the direction of a nine-member board of directors. Five of these positions oversee the club's specific program areas. Each program area is made up of committees that carry out the club's annual programming, which inlcudes various community and international service activities. Club officers are elected by the club and take office in June. Board members develop goals for the club, which are adopted in July.
