Biographical / Historical

Dr. Charles Allen Cary was born in Iowa in 1861. He recieved his Doctor of Veterinary Medecine from Iowa State University in 1887. In 1893 he was hired as a Professor of Physiology and Veterinary Science at Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical College (Auburn University). In 1907 he was named the first Dean of Auburn's School of Veterinary Medecine where he served until his death in 1935.
