Thomas T. Bigbie Civil War Letters
This collection consists of thirty-three letters written by Thomas T. Bigbie to his parents and his wife between June 21, 1862, and July 1, 1864. The collection also contains photocopies of National Archives records relating to the Bigbie family, including Muster rolls, Prisoner of War Rolls, and a death report. Typescripts of the letters are available (folders 34-36). The library also has duplicated the collection on one reel of positive microfilm (microfilm Z 1010 .I53 no. 147).

George W. Bisbee Diary
The diary dates from January 1 to October 10, 1863, and includes references to guarding Confederate prisoners of war at Camp Douglas, Illinois; transporting prisoners from Camp Douglas to City Point, Virginia, to exchange them for Union soldiers who had been paroled; a soldier's oratory club in which Bisbee participated; an athletic contest with the 18th New York Infantry; and the author's hospitalization.
Pister Miller Bishop, M.D. Diary
Diary contains daily diary entries from 1943, comments on current events, updates on WWII, and descriptions of medical duties. Collection also includes a letter from the granddaughter of Bidhop to her son describing Bishop and his family, a brief genealogy of P.M. Bishop's family and a copy if an article that appeared in the Memphis Press Schimitar on 11 and 12 November 1941 titled "Strolling with Eldon Roark, A Day in the Life of Mrs. Bishop."
Black Belt Press Collection
Consists of drafts and galley proofs of three works published by the Black Belt Press of Montgomery, Alabama. The works include Faith, by R. T. Smith; Bus Ride to Justice, by Fred D. Gray, and President Clinton and the Working Man, by J. R. Hammond.
Charlie J. Black Papers
The collection consists of Black's newspaper columns, copies of several letters and other documents, a copy of his book Afternthe Fact: 20/20 Hindsight, and a cassette tape recording of an interview in 1988. The collection contains materials spanning 1966-1991.
