R.A. Plant to C.H. Plant from Forest Home, 1889-03-24

Health good, working on terracing and ditching in Lowdnes County for a week. There he drank the "lime water [sic] which I think improved my health." Another week's work still to go in Lowdnes Co. Next maybe a job at the mill in Bolling. A relative, Dan Bogann, wants to live with C.H. Plant. C.H. has not responded to the request. Lewis Wright is very "very low" with consumption. Not expected to recover. Cousin Mollie having a hard time. Family visits. "Big Buddie (Willie) and I have been braking [sic] a Texas pony to the buggy this evening got some good riding and heeps [sic] of fun."
