Houston from Athens Female College for tuition and books in 1881 and one receipt for merchandise from Adams Express Company, Athens, Alabama in 1869.

Gilman A. Hoyt Diary

Scope and Contents This collection contains a diary with varied notations. Some are brief religious notations or monetary descriptions. This diary also describes Hoyt's journey during the Civil War. In December of 1864, Hoyt became convinced he wanted to be a preacher, and was hoping the war would end.
